These threads are a hit on a bunch of forums so I figure I'd fire one up on here.

What did I do today?

Well, I crawled under it and put my rear sway bar to the middle setting instead of the stiffest setting. Hopefully that gets rid of my tripod issues. I wish my stock bar wasn't cut when I got the car (it was a salvage car in case some of you didn't know)

I also picked up a dirt-cheap muffler delete and I'm sniffing the forums for a 4-point harness.

C'mon people, step up to the plate... unless everything you do is a big secret. If so, nevermind haha.

I looked at it after its tough weekend overheating and laughed at it and pointed my finger as I got into my Frontier and went to work.

I changed brakes, tires and punched ID marks on my wheels so I can track where I've run them. Wheel, A, B, C, D. Yep, pretty boring. Tonight, remove front camber and dial shocks to soft. Still boring.

I drove it to Brookings and back for work. I also hope that it'll have enough rubber on the right front tire for DD duties and the last event.

Wasn't I just talking with you about how much I loved how quiet your evo was? :D

I do actually want to hear what that sounds like though! :D

PS: Schroth harness for sale if you didn't already see it!

^ HAHA yeah, thankfully it's just a cheap muffler delete so if it's too loud for cruising I can bolt on the suitcase again. That thing is ridiculous how much it loops around on the inside.

And that guy needs to update his thread for that harness... he sold it 3 days ago and I was so mad that I just picked up a new one instead.

I also picked up a Muse lower IC pipe and a Megan test pipe. Just little crap, nothing major. Might head to NAPA after work and get a couple T-bolt clamps.

OH YEAH, and I got some AMSOIL on the way too. Going to see how both cars like the 0w30 Signature Series sauce.

I just used ECUFlash and set it up with the stock ECU. Took about a minute; just found the option in there (stationary rev limit) and set it at 5100 and I think it's fine there; maybe a tad lower just to save the drivetrain a bit, haha!

I think ECUFlash supports Subies too if I'm not mistaken.

I use ECUflash for datalogging w/ my ECU/wideband setup, but not for flashing right now. I use the COBB accessport to adjust my tune, my LC, and FFS RPM points right now. You will like the LC for sure...

I have generally set mine for 5.2-6K depending on the situation... You won't think to go back to launching any other way.. Just learn your clutch engagement point, and release speed and you will be golden. ...otherwise, you will fry your clutch very quickly (particularly so in an EVO). I have probably about 150 launches above 5K on my clutch at the stip, etc. (and over 40K miles on it) and it is still like new (OEM clutch). Do it wrong a couple times and it's toast, so I hear...

Paul,

Are you sure you use ECUflash for datalogging? I use it myself, but only for flashing. I see no capabilities of that program for datalogging.

Ian,

Glad to hear you got that launch limiter going! It is a blast launching anywhere 5000rpms+. I'm probably going to adjust mine from 4500, back up to around 5000 for the event in Oct. I was right on the borderline of bogging at that rpm. Either way, just that in itself is certainly going to cut some time off your runs, assuming you have the space to do it.

As far as what I did to my car today. I still have everything in my car from this past weekend. Finally took out the jack/jackstands. Still daily driving it with everything else in! :D
