Trying doing it downtown with numbers and decals on the side, wide slicks, loud exhaust, idle at 1000 rpm, cage, gutted, and no blinkers with a cop right across the street. Glad it was for the car show....LOL

Sounds like my average weekend during the summer. Minus the cage.

I haven't actually done anything to the Civic yet apart from install winter tires, but a few minutes ago I ordered the following parts:

HFP struts and springs
Ingalls front camber bolts
Apex'i WS2 cat-back exhaust
Progress rear swaybar
Cobb AccessPort
2 quarts of Redline MTL

The HFP suspension components are coming from College Hills Honda, the Redline MTL is coming from Amazon, and everything else is on its way from CorSport. Everything should arrive within a week to ten days and then the fun begins. :) I'm thinking of it all as an early birthday (November 15) gift to myself. 8)

^Looks like a nice basic yet fun upgrade path for the Civic. Let me know what you think of that Cobb AP when you get it set up. I might do something little to mine while I have it.

HFP suspension is the way to go from what I've read.

***However, it doesn't lower it enough and in the end, that's all that matters. /sarcasm :D

Yeah, I know what you mean ... that's the only downside to the HFP suspension. The car won't have the "slammed" look I was really going for, plus it won't be as much fun trying to drive through more than two inches of snow or dodge rocks or ruts in the road/trail in the Canadian bush. :P

All kidding aside, I've heard a lot of good things about the HFP suspension, too, especially combined with the Progress rear swaybar. Other suspension options were coilovers from Skunk2, Buddy Club, or Tein, but I ended up going with the HFP setup because I figured it would work better for how I plan to use the car and it was at least a few hundred dollars cheaper than my other options. Ride height isn't adjustable with the HFP suspension, but the fact that it should lower the car 0.5 inches - 1 inch works for me.

In any case I'm really looking forward to seeing how all the parts affect the way the car drives. And I'll definitely let you know how everything works out and maybe we can meet up sometime so you can check out my Civic once I get everything installed.

I haven't heard anything bad about the HFP setup. Should work out well for you Louis.

Took the LICP to Dan at Excessive Autosports this morning. He drilled/tapped a nipple for it and I finally got it installed early this afternoon.

i think google knows me a little too well. i googled "how to paint rims" and top of the list was an evo 9 owner painting his rims, with a nice how to.

i'm definitely gonna paint my BBS's Black with some kinda red accents. painting the entire lip seems kinda gaudy to me, i want some red accents on the spokes. i wish the edges weren't so wide on the spokes, it would make it easier to be subtle about it.
