I'm going to put my winter tires (General Altimax Winter) on the Civic sometime in the next couple of days. I agree; winter tires are well worth the money ... especially for driving through Canadian (and even South Dakota) winters.

Tony, if you want tires, visit my storage unit in Brookings sometime ... it's now officially "Used-up Tires 'R Us." I've got used-up sets of Falken Azenis RT-615s, Hankook Icebear W300s, Goodyear Eagle RS-As, Goodyear Eagle F1s, Kumho Ecsta ASXs, and Nitto NT-01s.

Impressive list Louis... In the last two seasons I put down a set of Nitto NT01's (205-50-15) Kumho V710's (205-55-14) Kumho V700's (235-45-13) and almost destroyed an ancient set of Hoosier A6 (225-45-15) but they were just too hard and too old to get enough traction to hurt them- lol. Thats just out of my garage... DSR as a whole add in a few more sets of NT01's NT05's Hoosiers XS's Toyos and god knows what else layin around

Also- As far as what I did to my car today. Tonight I started tearing into the new miata a little. Forming a plan of attack on the car. Figured out a few things I wanted to do to the car may not be able to do- but we will see. Also changed a few plans for the car after looking at it. Which means more work, but in the long run should pay off in the end.

Changed out the transmission oil in the Civic yesterday with some AMSOIL. So far, 3rd gear goes in smoothly, but we'll see how it works when it gets colder out.

Today I'll be doing the fun task of changing oil on the stupid thing. Filter location is horrible on the Si.

Cleaned three sets of wheels completely while organizing my thoughts on the winter changes the the m3. Improved suspension. Maybe a racing seat. Alignment tweaks to improve nasacross performance instead of road course stability.

So it will be a little less stable but still OK. However, better braking, more front grip and easy rotation will be good.

I know it was not today, but on saturday I finally took the race rubber off of the Miata and put the street tires back on, then procceded to change the oil on the Miata, the Civic and the 6. The next day I wrapped up 2 sets of tires and stacked them in an unused shower in my basement. The stack is about 8 feet tall. kinda cool...

i may have thought of a good use for my huge rear wing, i think i'm going to hang a sign from it, with a button that will light it up. it will say "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?".

yet again today, some dopey 16 yr old pulled along side me in a racing stripe laden mazdaspeed6 and revved his engine and took off, and then slowed down and waited for me to catch up and then repeated his performance. sigh, law abiding danno has to just let the fools go...

Rallyx! the Suzuki looks like it has nice compliant suspension.

It's great suspension... if you want internal bleeding after the first run.

Glad to hear you got the Suzuki going again already. Badass car.

MY CAR: well, still driving the Si and still having no issues with 3rd gear after the fluid change.

whoot!! I just got my new rims and snow tires put on. The rims look awesome even tho they were fairly inexpensive ($140 each compared to $800 each for my BBS rims, included on MR's). Took me about an hour, agh I'm bushed.
