basically im having some issues with my exhaust setup. I have a 4-2-1 header to the cat and then full exhaust to a apexi ws2 muffler. basically the 2 issues that I am having is 1 where the header meets the cat it doesn't seal up so I have a huge exhaust leak. does anybody know how to get this fixed? the bolts are tight and everything but its just not working. im thinking of removing the cat to help seal it up but my welding skills are very poor. 2nd issue has to do with the muffler. the axle back portion of the exhaust is horrible and it sets the muffler way to low and needs to be redone. any recommendations on where to go?

thanks in advance. also let me know what your exhaust systems consist of im thinking of going a different route with mine.

it's always good to get rid of the cat especially in a state without emissions. a full clamp should take care of the leak if you just want to stop it. there is a seal that fits around the joint then a full clamp over that. not a u clamp. any decent parts store should have them with different sizes. even you basic mineke shop can take care of any exhaust issues. just call around and get the cheapest place to fix the muffler issue. shouldn't be very expensive even for a custom job.

i have headers 6-2-1 no cat. i paid 50 for a full exhaust job custom mounts completely welded at one point.

ya the probledm that I keep running in to is a place the will remove the cat for me. I know of a shop up north that can do it but its just the issue of getting it up there. I've thought about just running no exhaust and just the open header but that would just not be logical on a street car.

pm me if you know a place around here that will remove that with no questions. thanks

hell, do it yourself. just cut out the cat and clamp in a straight pipe.

well I got the leak fixed so now its just on to the muffler. just need to get the axle back redone to put the muffler up higher than what it is now
