got it figured out, reading the owners manual always helps............

http://www.raceamerica.com/download/6x60manu.pdf

it turns out that if one of the configuration dip switches is at position one, it will just loop like it has....

Russ brought up a very good point, we should look into the wireless possibilities for the sensors, it would make corse design much more dynamic since we are limited to our cable length.

Marcus, when we were looking at timing stuff did we ever get a price on that stuff?

Well- to run it we would pretty much need a new system. From my understanding it was more than the club wanted to spend tipping the scales at around 3500 or something like that for everything.

Personally- I think its getting to that point- and may be a good idea. However someone may want to call them and get a more acurate quote.

Instead of the wireless system upgrade, how expensive is the cabling/foot? I can't imagine it is expensive at all, given how simple the setup, really. I bet some people (hint-hint, ask around) would pitch in to pay for cabling to expand our course offerings....Why not?

Problem is the system can only handle so long of a cable. Where as with the wireless we could start on one end of the lot and race to the other very simply.

This does sound quite delicious.

How much would wireless tap into the pizza budget? I think that's the issue that may sway voters...

Obviously I'm joking. SCCLaC has a wireless system and it's pretty cool. End lights were a good 300 feet away from control I bet.

The control table could be set up in the grass too giving spectators unobstructed view of both lots.
