Just want to make sure that I am reading this right. The nittos are +7 BUT because I am in E class that has a tire size of 235 and I will be running a 205 I get 7 points for running 30mm less than whats allowed.

Yes... but it depends on the base class for your car not where you end up. If your mods bump you up a class you don't get to use the wider tire for the new/higher class for figureing points.

My Civic is classed in TTF/NXF which has a 215 max. I run a 205 so I get a 1 point credit back to my total. It would be 4 points back if I ran a 195.

If I bring our new to us 93 Escort LX (88hp!!) which has a base class of TTH*/NXH* I will have to add 4 points for running 195 tires which are 20 over the 175 maximum for the class.

Any idea how my 99 Civic Ex with a jdm b16a swap will be assessed points now for the swap? And I still take the hit for trans gearing changed? And does my OEM si front lip count as a front facia aero upgrade? And do KYB AGX's count for the +3 shock upgrade?

Are you trying to create an Si from an EX? If so, you may just want to start your classing with the Si and go from there. I thought there was a list of approved engine swaps someplace in the ruleset (I didn't look for it in the new rules as it didn't apply to me... but I do remember one in previous TT rules)

I do know that ANY non-OEM adjustable shock (AGX, Illumina, Koni, and others) will need to be counted.

Well it's kinda ended up as an Si lol. Yes there are pre-approved swaps but for some reason the b16a isn't on it. As far as classing it as an Si there are minor difference so it has 170hp vs. the usdm's 160hp due to higher compression and little differences, so I'm not sure how that would work. As far as the shocks I was just making sure it counts for the +3 and not the +10, they're compression and rebound adjustable but it's on the same control knob so it shouldn't count as the two way ones I wouldn't think.

From how I read it Zach- your struts would be +7. The +3 points are for non adjustable struts which are aftermarket- aka GR2's. Yours would be +7 and say a fully adjustable Tein suspension like Super Racings- would be +10. From how I read it.

As for your motor- You would start from the Si base class. The difference in the motors in minimal. Basicly your car is an Si- so thats where you start now. The reason the B16 in a civic is not listed is because it came stock in a civic- the Si- and in the first rule under Engine/Drivetrain states if there is a base class for the car your swap came from, you can use that class.

Thats why an Integra with an ITR motor would bump to an ITR class, but a civic with an ITR motor would bump to C and GSR to D- I hope I am making sense...

I believe basic aftermarket adjustable struts like Koni's and Illuminas are a +3 point add. (They are WAY under the $600 price point per corner)
