Within the last 2 days, yesterday it wasn't so bad, but today my rear (i think it's the brakes) are acting up. At first it wasn't so bad, it thought it was just my tread noise getting louder as my rear tires are becoming more bald but today i had to do a good bit of driving and it sounded like i had a damn F-16 following me the whole time, also when i went on the interstate the whole car was all joltingall over over the place. And just now I got out and somethingrear wheel well smells HOT.I gotta work now but when I'm off i'm gonna jack it up and see if i can tell whats wrong.

I am totally clueless as to what might have caused this, especially to happen so fast so any ideas are appreciated.

drums not really, but bearings can go bad. if the wheel assembly has noticable play when wiggles, its most likely bearing time. hub bearing actually.

^ Not the case with the focus, they have a spindle nut i read, but it got too late last night. I think this may be the first of many-a-hayne's manual adventure.

Yay I ran out of tools again!!! I took the center dust cover off to access the hub-nut, and found out i need a torque wrench taht goes to 170lbs, where mine only goes to 140 and i don't have any sockets large enough...but when I took the center cap off the left rear a bunch of black kind of metallic looking stuff came out...brake dust? There wasn't any on the right rear.
