I know this won't be needed for awhile, but I've never done it and felt like giving it a try.

I have a '91 Nissan 300zx TT - so my base class is D +14

Upgrades include:
upgraded ECU +10
upgraded intake +1
upgraded downpipes and exhaust +2
no catalytic converters +1

4.10 diff gear +3
Weight reduction of 100lbs +7

Total mods = 24 + 14 = 38

So I go up one class to C...correct? I'm sure I have made an error somewhere so any help would be great...Thanks!

Explain how you got these points:

4.10 gear for 3 points
(final drive changes are free, see #11 under no points mods)

Weight redux or 100 lbs for 7 points
What all did you take out?
Or are you under your minimum weight? (remember, that number is WITH driver and gear)

if you added an LSD then you take points. Weight reduction we base on how much of the interior has been ripped out and if you are running light weight body panels. (ie carbon fiber)

Shooting from the hip here NXC looks to be about right for your car.

Good to know about the final drive change being no points.

On the weight reduction I am below my minimum weight (including me) My minimum weight listed is 3480 and my car with me in it weighs around 3400, but it has been awhile since I weighed it so i just assumed it to be around 100 pounds.

So I might be a few mod points shy of my estimate, but looks like I would still land in "C"

Thanks for the tips.

Jake

You can add ballast to bring it back up to the minimum weight if you don't want to take the points. (or eat a few more cheeseburgers over the winter)

LOL...nice idea. I think I'll keep my girlish figure and opt for some other kind of weight.

Thanks for the idea!
