I'm working late and no one else is here so I'll make another "official event thread."

What's this event being called? The Goose Poop on Pizza Event?

Either way, sounds like it'll be a good time.

I'll be joining you all once again. I was planning on going to West Salem, WI for the SCCLaC event but my buddy isn't 100% sure if he's going to be home by then and I'm 100% sure I love coming to the Sioux Falls events so yeah, let's get a good turnout.

Hopefully I have my swine flu/West Nile/SARS crap taken care of by next weekend.

Let's rock!

Free pizza eh?

Well, on that note, I can prroobbabblyyy make it.

Looking forward to it. On another note:

Marcus- We ran into even more problems with the 09' car which we are bringing to show our sponsors, this will mean we will only be running one car, but probably in all run groups. I'll get back to you on the driver situation, I should know that soon.

Looking forward to it. :D

Is anyone bringing anything to wash the pizza down? I can bring a 24pack or sodypop or some bottled water or something.

What kind of pop does everyone like?

Waz up, Ian?

If you offer is for real, bring Diet Coke... BTW, thanks for the ride in your EVO last weekend. It was fun to ride in your car vs. an EVO X in a ride along. Those cars are from two different planets in more ways than I want to put into words... I think they are equally fast, but feel entirely different.

See you on Sunday.

Sure thing Paul... I'll bring some Diet Coke and, idk, how does Mountain Dew sound? I don't have a cooler though, but maybe someone can bring one.

Thanks for letting me roll in the "roadster" too. That thing is just too much fun. Thanks for the tire gauge too... probably should get a new one pretty quick since I thought I had 40psi and was really 45psi; made for an interesting first heat, ask Tony.

As long as it's diet MD, that would be awesome.

Your tire gauge was a solid 4-5 psi off (reading high), you chucked that thing out, right?

I bet that made one great difference, right? Buy a solid analog gauge and you will be good. Most pop-up or digitized gauges are all over the place and usually change over time, especially if they experience moisture (which most tires have) and/or a tire pressure beyond it's design limits..

Paul

Hopefully we'll get to see him run in it. Not sure if you were there but either early this year or late last year SDSU's FSAE team came to an event....and performed sub-professionally.

They had alot of car issues last year and they were working out bugs.

Lets try and refrain from saying anyone sucked- k Tony?

And from the sounds of it - yes- Brian will be driving with the FSAE team.

Well, here is the deal fella's.

The 09 car is continuing to be the unique specimen that it is. So unless we get the parts on Friday that we need the 09 car will not be running at all. However we are going to bring it no matter what in order to show one of our biggest sponsors, Poet.

We are bringing a second car however, the 03. This car is more of a driver training car as it has a CVT (not tuned correctly, ahaha), has some suspension geometry issues causing chronic understeer, and various other nifty quirks. It is still a quick car in it's own right, however it is no where near the likes of the 07/08/09 car.

I will actually not be driving. To my knowledge we will really only have three underclassmen driving it. Grace, Callen, and Nick I believe. They asked to go before I did, and I also already have a car to drive so it made more sense for them to drive.

They should be pretty competitive with the main chunk of the field.

On the issue of SDSU performing poorly- It is almost incomprehensible how advanced these cars can be and the level of engineering required to make a competitive car. Looks easy, but it isn't.
