Awecrap Brian is on the FSAE team???
what is this world coming to lol..
It sounds like the team may turn around. Last year sounded like a bad bad year..
Hopefully we'll get to see him run in it. Not sure if you were there but either early this year or late last year SDSU's FSAE team came to an event....and sucked,
BADThey had alot of car issues last year and they were working out bugs.
Lets try and refrain from saying anyone sucked- k Tony?
And from the sounds of it - yes- Brian will be driving with the FSAE team.
Well, here is the deal fella's.
The 09 car is continuing to be the unique specimen that it is. So unless we get the parts on Friday that we need the 09 car will not be running at all. However we are going to bring it no matter what in order to show one of our biggest sponsors, Poet.
We are bringing a second car however, the 03. This car is more of a driver training car as it has a CVT (not tuned correctly, ahaha), has some suspension geometry issues causing chronic understeer, and various other nifty quirks. It is still a quick car in it's own right, however it is no where near the likes of the 07/08/09 car.
I will actually not be driving. To my knowledge we will really only have three underclassmen driving it. Grace, Callen, and Nick I believe. They asked to go before I did, and I also already have a car to drive so it made more sense for them to drive.
They should be pretty competitive with the main chunk of the field.
On the issue of SDSU performing poorly- It is almost incomprehensible how advanced these cars can be and the level of engineering required to make a competitive car. Looks easy, but it isn't.
